The US Treasury is considering issuing new $1 collectible coins featuring President Donald Trump.

Axar.az reports, citing Fox Business, that this step is planned as part of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. The project will depict the current US president with a raised fist against the background of the American flag. This image refers to the famous photo taken after the assassination attempt against him in 2024.

The final design of the coin has not yet been approved. As a Treasury representative noted, the agency has the legal authority to mint collector coins for such occasions.

On June 25, gold coins featuring Trump's portrait were released.
