Israel halts Gaza offensive after Trump peace deal

The Israeli government has ordered the army to halt its operation to take control of Gaza City and minimize its activities in the Strip, following the agreement of the warring parties to implement US President Donald Trump's peace plan.

Axar.az informs that the Israeli army radio "Galei Tzahal" reported this.

"Following an assessment of the situation and discussions with US representatives, the leadership has ordered the Israel Defense Forces to minimize their activities in Gaza and conduct only defensive operations in the Strip," the radio station said.
