Israel strikes Gaza despite Trump’s ceasefire call

Israel launched airstrikes on the Gaza Strip on Saturday after US President Donald Trump called for a ceasefire.

Axar.az informs that local authorities reported this.

"One of the strikes killed four people in a house in Gaza City. Two people were killed in the strike in Khan Yunis in the south of the country," the report said.

Earlier, the US President had declared that Hamas was ready for peace by agreeing to release hostages and accept some of the conditions of the US plan to end the war.

Moreover, it was reported that Israeli forces had stopped their attack on Gaza. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office announced that Israel was ready to immediately implement the first phase of the Trump plan to release all hostages.

At the same time, the Palestinian Hamas movement officially confirmed its readiness to release all Israeli hostages and discuss the details of US President Donald Trump's peace plan for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
