Five Azerbaijani boxers reach CIS Games finals

Today, the semi-final fights in boxing competitions were held at the Yevlakh Olympic Sports Complex within the framework of the III CIS Games.

Axar.az reports that Azerbaijani boxer Gardash Rahimov (46 kg) defeated Tajikistan's Damir Nazarov (3:2) and advanced to the final.

Another boxer from Azerbaijan, Shahin Aslanov, who competed in the semi-finals in the 60 kg weight category, defeated Russian Dmitry Klyushnikov, 4:1.

Another Azerbaijani boxer, Safdar Mammadzade (+80 kg), defeated Kazakhstan's Yerketang Zharkinbek (5:0) and secured a place in the final.

Ali Aliyev (48 kg) defeated another Kazakh representative, Baltin Korganbek, 3:2.

In another semi-final match, Azerbaijani athlete Ali Abasly (52 kg) defeated Turkmenistan's Khangeldi Lukmanov - 5:0.

Thus, 5 Azerbaijani boxers qualified for the final.

It should be noted that the final matches among male boxers will be held on October 5.
