EU Parliament Committee to vote on Russia oil and gas ban

On October 16, the European Parliament (EP) will hold its first vote in its relevant committee on the European Commission's proposal to impose a complete and permanent ban on EU countries buying oil and gas in all forms from Russia.

Axar.az reports that this was reported by the EP's Industry and Energy Committee.

It is noted that the committee will approve the European Commission's regulation on the restructuring of the EU energy system. The main amendment is a complete ban on EU countries buying any type of oil, gas, and petroleum products from Russia from 2028.
