Rasht-Astara railway contract to be signed soon.

Axar.az reports citing APA that this was stated by Amin Taraffo, head of the International Relations Center of the Iranian Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.

"This week, an important trilateral meeting of Iran, Russia, and Azerbaijan will be held in Baku to develop cooperation on the North-South Corridor. The issue of finalizing a commercial contract between an Iranian company and a Russian company as the contractor for the Rasht-Astara railway is ongoing. It is expected that a commercial contract will be signed soon and the project will enter the implementation phase," he noted.
