AFFA pays compensation to former coach Fernando Santos

AFFA has paid compensation to Fernando Santos, who was dismissed from his position as head coach of the Azerbaijani national team.

Axar.az reports that the organization's Secretary General, Jahangir Farajullayev, informed journalists about this.

Although he did not disclose the amount of compensation, he said that the federation had complied with all the conditions of the contract.

It should be noted that Santos left his post last month. The contract signed with him was terminated ahead of schedule.

Santos was appointed head coach of the Azerbaijani national team in June 2024.
