The British military leadership has stated that it supports the joint use of nuclear weapons with Germany.

Axar.az informs that this was reported by the "Daily Telegraph".

“Senior military officials, including the former head of the Defence Staff and NATO Secretary General, have called on the UK to start negotiations with Berlin on a new defense pact,” it was reported.

The publication also notes that such proposals have emerged against the backdrop of growing concerns that the US, as it has been since the end of World War II, may one day cease to be the guarantor of European security.

It is reported that official negotiations between the United Kingdom and Germany on this issue have not yet begun.
