Ekrem Imamoglu found guilty of 'political espionage'

A Turkish court has issued another formal arrest order for Istanbul’s jailed mayor Ekrem Imamoglu on suspicion of “political espionage".

Axar.az informs, citing Turkish media, the investigation into Istanbul Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu, who was suspended from office following his arrest in a corruption probe, continues on espionage charges along with Necati Ozkan, Merdan Yanardag, and Melih Gecek.

As part of the case, Imamoglu, Ozkan, and Yanardag appeared before the criminal court of peace for questioning.

The court ordered their arrest on charges of political espionage.

Imamoglu denies all charges against him.
