Zelensky: Trump positive on further U.S. aid for Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said discussions on Ukraine at the G7 summit were positive, adding that U.S. President Donald Trump expressed support for further assistance to Kyiv.

Axar.az reports, speaking to Reuters via video link from the G7 summit in London, Zelensky said: "Trump was very positive that the U.S. can help Ukraine with more air defense missiles."

Zelensky said G7 leaders agreed that Russia is not winning the war.

"There was unanimity among all G7 leaders that Russia is not winning the war and has to make a deal as soon as possible."

"The G7 discussed more sanctions on Russia, including on the energy sector, banking, and military. A lot of people around Russian President Vladimir Putin are pushing him towards a bigger mobilization of troops," he added.

He said that 60% of Russian society wants to stop the war.
