Senior officials of the US President Donald Trump administration are being relocated to military bases for security reasons.
Axar.az reports that the Atlantic magazine published information about this, citing sources.
According to the information, the main reasons for this decision are the murder of conservative political activist Charlie Kirk and mass protests in the United States against Trump's policies. Due to threats against officials and their families, military protection is provided on military bases.
It was noted that several senior officials already live in military facilities:
- Secretary of State Marco Rubio
- Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth
- Secretary of Homeland Security Christie Noem

- Press Secretary of the Federal Government Efficiency Agency (DOGE) Katie Miller and her wife
- Trump's Chief Domestic Policy Advisor Stephen Miller
- Secretary of the Army Daniel Driscoll
The assassination attempt on Charlie Kirk occurred on September 10. On that day, he spoke on a university campus in Utah. During the event, he was shot from about 180 meters away, hitting him in the neck. Although the activist was rushed to the hospital, his life could not be saved.
A few days later, law enforcement authorities detained 22-year-old student Tyler Robinson as a suspect.
