Trump extends Iran sanctions

US President Donald Trump has extended unilateral sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran for another year.

Axar.az reports that this was stated in the statement of the US leader.

“Relations with Iran have not yet been normalized, and the process of implementing the agreements dated January 19, 1981, continues. This refers to the Algiers Agreements between the United States and Iran. These agreements led to the release of American diplomats who were held hostage in Tehran for more than a year after the 1979 revolution. These documents, in particular, stipulate the principle of non-interference in each other's internal affairs,” Trump said in a statement.
