The US President's Special Envoy, Steve Whitkoff, highly appreciated the activities of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, in resolving the conflict with Armenia.

Whitkoff said that in August, Donald Trump directly asked Ilham Aliyev in the Oval Office why he did not continue the offensive, despite having a superior army.

The Azerbaijani leader replied that his goal was only to return the occupied lands.
