The Russian side hopes that U.S. President Donald Trump is still willing to assist in resolving the Ukrainian conflict, Russian President’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

Axar.az informs, citing TASS, “Of course, we sincerely hope that President Trump still wants to contribute to the political and diplomatic resolution of the Ukrainian issue,” Peskov told CNN.

He noted that Russia would like to make faster progress in resolving the conflict and is waiting for readiness from the American side.

According to Peskov, Moscow and Washington should explore new opportunities for trade and economic cooperation. “We have brilliant prospects for the future. We are losing time, losing money, losing benefits,” he emphasized.
