Azerbaijani karateka wins gold at Islamic Solidarity Games

Azerbaijani karateka Irina Zaretska reached the final match of the VI Islamic Solidarity Games held in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh.

Axar.az reports that our athlete, competing in the 68-kilogram weight category, faced Turkish Eda Eltamur in the decisive match. Defeating her opponent with a score of 5-3, I. Zaretska became a three-time winner of the Islamiada.

It should be noted that earlier, Medina Sadiqova (55 kilograms) and Roman Heydarov (kata) won bronze medals at the VI Islamic Solidarity Games.
