Border fire in Gadabay under control

Work is continuing to prevent the spread of the fire that broke out in the territory between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Axar.az reports that the fire that has been raging for four days in the border area with Armenia (neutral territory) of the villages of Isali, Dordlar, and Mormor in the Gadabay region is being carried out by employees of the Gadabay region Fire Protection Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations to prevent it from spreading to the villages, especially to forest areas.

Due to the complexity of the terrain, it is impossible to bring special equipment to the area.

Although the constantly strengthening wind complicates firefighting operations, firefighting measures are being continued manually without interruption.

It should be noted that, according to news spread in the Azerbaijani and Armenian media, large-scale fires have been observed in the direction of the Gadabay region of the conditional Armenian-Azerbaijani border for several days.
