Trump to sue BBC for $5 billion over altered speech

US President Donald Trump announced that he will file a $5 billion lawsuit against the BBC, claiming that the network altered one of his speeches on the program Panorama.

Axar.az reports that Trump said the lawsuit will be officially submitted next week, with the amount ranging between $1 billion and $5 billion.

The US President also stated that, as a result of the incident, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer expressed embarrassment to him, and he plans to speak with the Prime Minister about the matter over the weekend.

It should be noted that the BBC apologized to Trump on Thursday, calling the montage a wrong decision. The incident has placed the BBC in one of its most serious crises in decades, leading to the resignation of two senior executives and increased political pressure on the organization.
