North Korean troops reportedly assisting Russia

There are about 10 thousand North Korean soldiers in the regions bordering Russia with Ukraine.

Axar.az reports that the publication "Telegraf" wrote about this.

The publication notes that they do not participate in battles against the Ukrainian Armed Forces, but are engaged in clearing the areas where the battles are taking place of mines.

According to the publication, the areas where the North Korean troops cleared mines are precisely the Kursk and Belgorod regions, where the Ukrainian Armed Forces entered at different times. Russian media had previously complained that the Ukrainian troops had left an "unprecedented density" of anti-tank and anti-personnel mines. Due to the mine threat, these areas remain very dangerous for the return of the civilian population.

"The significant role of North Korea in Russia's mine clearance operations indicates the desire of both sides to develop military relations," the information said.
