It is impossible to end the Russia-Ukraine war based on the US proposal without an agreement with the EU member states.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by French President Emmanuel Macron to journalists.

"This peace plan has not yet been agreed upon with the Europeans. The plan contains many provisions that concern the Europeans. Frozen assets and Ukraine's integration into Europe are in the hands of Europe. Also, the work done by NATO is in the hands of the organization's members. Therefore, many points cannot be a proposal that requires broader coordination only from the US," Macron noted.

He also admitted that the 28-point peace plan presented by the US to Ukraine is good and important issues have been touched upon:

"But we need to find a common language again. Because the US also needs the Europeans to resolve this conflict. This is clearly evident from the 28-point proposal that was put up for discussion."
