Amid discussions of the U.S. peace plan for Ukraine, an information frenzy has emerged — something that always happens when the West’s plans start to go off track, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said on her Radio Sputnik program.
Axar.az informs “These aren’t real news, they’re quasi-news. It’s the same kind of noise that erupts when a certain segment of the global elite sees its plans going off course. That’s when the so-called ‘noise’ button is pressed — the same kind of noise created by those later labeled extremists and foreign agents in Russia,” she said.
According to Zakharova, the European ruling elites likely intended to escalate the crisis, increase global corruption, kill as many people as possible, and spread international terrorism.
She stressed that as soon as any practical steps toward a political or diplomatic process begin, the same ‘noise’ button is activated.
“There’s very little substance behind it. It’s just comments on comments and discussions of unverified claims,” the spokesperson said.
Zakharova added that what’s happening isn’t even part of a political-diplomatic show meant to “score points” or strengthen positions. Instead, it’s a set of sabotage tools designed to derail a real peace process and manipulate public perception.
