The Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Eyal Zamir, visited the Gaza Strip today to assess the operational situation on the ground.

Axar.az reports that he stated work continues to prevent and eliminate threats on all fronts despite the ceasefire.

“We must remain prepared on all fronts and maintain our combat readiness and vigilance in accordance with operational procedures. The IDF is preparing for a sudden war scenario,” Eyal Zamir emphasized.

He also noted that Hamas will not be allowed to reconstitute itself:

“We control significant parts of the sector and hold the main lines. The yellow line is the new border line: a forward defensive line for the communities and at the same time an offensive line.”
