Russia’s ambassador to North Korea dies at 70

Russia’s ambassador to North Korea, Alexander Matsegora, has passed away at the age of 70.

Axar.az informs that this was reported by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs deeply regrets to announce that our Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Alexander Ivanovich Matsegora, passed away on December 6, 2025, at the age of 70,” the statement said.
