Productive meeting with Putin, Turkiye awaits early visit

Mr. Putin (President of Russia – ed.) and I had a very productive, comprehensive, and in-depth meeting. I specifically stated that I am waiting for him at any time. We also discussed the necessity of meeting as soon as possible. He said, “I will keep my word.” I hope this visit will take place soon.

Axar.az reports that Turkiye's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said this to journalists while returning from his visit to Turkmenistan.

“Relations between Russia and Turkiye are not based on one-day interests. Our relations are based on deep-rooted history, a strong diplomatic foundation, and mutual trust. We mainly discussed efforts regarding war and peace. Mr. Putin knows very well Turkiye's position on this issue, just like all actors. We believe that the war (Russia-Ukraine war – ed..) should have ended long ago, and we have always stated this openly,” Erdogan added.

It should be noted that yesterday a meeting took place between the two country leaders in Turkmenistan.
