Kremlin agrees with Trump Ukraine peace deal closer than ever

Moscow agrees with U.S. President Donald Trump’s statement that the parties are close to resolving the conflict in Ukraine and that negotiations are in their final stage, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

Axar.az informs, citing TASS, “Of course,” he replied when asked if the Kremlin agreed with Trump’s assessment.

There is no talk of a phone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Peskov noted.

“Currently, there is no such conversation planned,” the Kremlin representative said in response to a related question.
