Ukraine tries to ease fallout over Putin incident

The Ukrainian authorities are trying to soften the international reaction to the possible attack on the residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Official Kyiv is taking active steps to reduce diplomatic pressure.

Axar.az informs that the Financial Times newspaper reported on this.

According to the publication, on December 30, Ukrainian officials rushed to neutralize the diplomatic consequences of the statements made by Russia.

The article notes that Kyiv claims that there was no attack attempt and suggests that the Russian side is using this issue to disrupt the negotiation process.

According to the information, several world leaders condemned the incident:

“Among those who showed solidarity with Russia were Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, and the UAE Foreign Ministry. US President Donald Trump also criticized Ukraine’s move. After international reactions, Kiev officially expressed regret.”
