US seeks greater Arctic control via Greenland

The US believes that by annexing Greenland, it can gain greater control over the Arctic.

Axar.az reports that White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said this at a regular briefing on January 7.

During the briefing, the US was asked what it would gain from annexing Greenland.

The White House Press Secretary replied, "More control over the Arctic region."

"Washington's full control over Greenland will allow the US to ensure that China, Russia, and their adversaries cannot continue their aggression in this important and strategic region. It has many other benefits, "he added.
