US Senate moves to limit Trump’s military action

The US Senate has voted to continue work on a resolution that would prohibit the administration of President Donald Trump from using military force against Venezuela without the approval of the legislative body.

The document was approved by 52 senators, and 47 voted against.

The resolution is a demand against the executive branch and aims to limit the president's authority to launch unilateral military operations.
