Russia warns foreign troops in Ukraine are legitimate targets

A security guarantees document agreed by the Western “coalition of the willing” and Kyiv is far from a peaceful settlement and is aimed at further militarization, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.

Axar.az informs she also warned that any deployment of Western troops, military bases, weapons depots, or other infrastructure in Ukraine would be viewed by Moscow as foreign intervention posing a direct security threat. Such facilities, she said, would be considered legitimate targets for Russian forces.

She noted that Russia has repeatedly issued these warnings at the highest level and that they remain in effect.
