Cuba conducts tank exercises to boost military readiness

Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel on Saturday observed military exercises involving tank units of the Cuban Armed Forces.

Axar.az informs that the Associated Press reported on this.

According to the report, the president was accompanied by Cuban Armed Forces Minister General Alvaro Lopez Miera and other high-ranking military officials.

“The best way to prevent aggression is to force imperialism to calculate the cost of attacking our country. And this is mainly due to our readiness for such military operations. In the current circumstances, this is very important,” the president said in his speech.

An official statement issued by the Cuban government noted that the National Defense Council, chaired by the president, recently held a meeting to increase the level of preparedness of the country's leadership:

“The Council held a meeting to review and approve plans and measures for the transition to a state of war.”
