Armenia-Ukraine Futsal dispute

The conflict erupted during the European Futsal Championship, which began on January 21 and was held in Latvia, Lithuania and Slovenia.

Axar.az reports that mutual accusations emerged after the group stage match between Armenia and Ukraine on January 22.

The Ukrainian Football Association filed a complaint with UEFA's control and disciplinary bodies against Armenian national team player Denis Nevedrova and the entire team, accusing them of unsportsmanlike behavior. The complaint stemmed from Nevedrova's offensive remarks towards opponents.

However, the Armenian side denied the accusations. According to the Armenian delegation, the players of the Ukrainian national team refused to shake hands with Armenian players playing for Russian clubs. This situation led to the lack of traditional handshakes between the teams before the start of the match, which is rare for tournaments of this level.

It should be noted that Nevedrova reportedly shouted "Fuck, Ukraine" after the victory.
