Iran says military fully ready amid war threats

Iran says its military is on full alert and ready to defend national interests amid rising threats of war, while maintaining that its official approach remains diplomatic.

Axar.az, citing Al-Mayadeen, reports that government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani said Iran is prepared for any emergency and will not allow its security to be undermined.

Speaking at a weekly press conference, Mohajerani stressed that all options are on the table alongside military readiness, adding that the government seeks to resolve challenges in cooperation with the public and through diplomacy.

Her remarks follow statements by a senior commander at Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, who dismissed Israeli and US threats of a “limited and swift” strike as based on miscalculations and a poor understanding of Iran’s defensive and offensive capabilities. The commander said Iran would not initiate a war but would prevent any threat to its national security from advancing, even at an early stage.
