Armenian–US military cooperation in focus

Defense cooperation was discussed during a meeting held in Yerevan between Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan and US Chargé d'Affaires in Armenia David Allen.

Axar.az reports, citing the press service of the Armenian Defense Ministry.

Papikyan stressed the importance of Armenian-American cooperation at a time when Armenia is in an active stage of defense reforms.

The meeting also discussed issues of bilateral military-technical cooperation, with particular attention paid to education, personnel training, exercises, exchange of experience, and professional consultations.

Allen expressed the US's readiness to develop defense cooperation with Armenia and support its defense reform process.

The parties also exchanged views on regional and international security issues.
