Trump floats "off ramps" after attacking Iran

President Donald Trump stated that dubbed Operation Epic Fury, could be short or extended depending on developments, including the status of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Axar.az, citing an exclusive report by Axios, informs that he described having several “off ramps,” saying the campaign could last just a few days or continue longer, with Iran taking years to recover from the strikes.

Trump cited two main reasons for launching the strikes: the collapse of recent U.S.-Iran nuclear negotiations and Iran’s long-term hostile actions worldwide. He also referenced prior U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities in June as a necessary precursor to the current operation.

The joint U.S.-Israeli campaign is reportedly planned to last at least five days, though the timeline may adjust based on events on the ground. Trump confirmed he spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, as well as leaders from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, and NATO, coordinating the operation.
