The Israeli agency responsible for administering aid to Gaza says it has closed all crossings into the Palestinian territory.
Axar.az, citing AP, reports that COGAT’s move effectively prevents the entry of aid, materials and humanitarian workers.
Winter weather and storms have battered the enclave, and aid groups say the humanitarian situation for Palestinians is dire.
COGAT said, without providing evidence, that there exists a sufficient stockpile of food in Gaza to get the Palestinians there through an extended period.
The agency said the crossings were closed for security reasons because of the current missile exchange with Iran.
