Iran has declared 40 days of nationwide mourning

The Iranian government has declared 40 days of nationwide mourning following the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Axar.az reports, citing Iranian state television, that seven days of public holiday have also been announced across the country.

Earlier, Iranian state media confirmed Khamenei’s death.
