Russian Consulate in Isfahan damaged in attack

Russia’s Consulate General in the Iranian city of Isfahan was damaged during an attack on the nearby provincial administration building on March 8.

Axar.az informs several employees were thrown by the blast wave, but there were no fatalities or serious injuries, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.

Zakharova stressed that Russia expects all parties involved in the conflict around Iran to strictly respect the inviolability of diplomatic facilities and described attacks on diplomatic missions as a blatant violation of international law.
