UK PM Starmer refuses to be drawn into Iran war

The UK prime minister, Keir Starmer said he "wanted a good relationship" with the US president and still does, but emphasized he is "not going to waver" on the issue of getting more involved in the Iran war.

Axar.az reports, citing Sky News, Starmer noted serious disagreements with U.S. President Donald Trump over the issue of military action against Iran.

"I'm not going to waver on this. I'm not going to back down... I'm not going to get dragged into the war... I'm not going to buckle under pressure and that's the long and the short of it."

US president Trump has criticized Starmer on at least nine separate occasions, via social media or in comments to journalists.
