Russia thanks Azerbaijan for citizens evacuation

All Russian citizens wishing to leave Iran via Azerbaijan have departed.

Axar.az reports, Russian Ambassador to Iran Alexey Dedov said, “Everyone has set off. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the Azerbaijani authorities and our embassy in Baku for their continued support in this matter.”

Dedov clarified that foreign nationals needed a special code issued by Azerbaijani authorities to cross the border, which is valid for two days. To obtain the code, individuals must submit their foreign passport information and make a prior request to the embassy.
