Bauer: 2022 support could have changed Ukraine war

A classical military victory for either Ukraine or Russia in the war is currently unlikely.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by NATO Military Committee Chair Admiral Rob Bauer in an interview with Radio NV.

Bauer said that such an outcome is unlikely due to the scale of Russian forces deployed in occupied Ukrainian territories, which he estimated at around 700,000 troops. He noted that this makes it extremely difficult to push Russian forces out of the occupied areas.

He also said that if, in 2022, Ukraine had received everything it needed while successfully retaking territory between April and August of that year, the outcome of the war would likely have been very different.
