Erdogan arrives in Kazakhstan for high-level talks

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has arrived in the Kazakh capital of Astana for an official visit.

Axar.az reports that Erdogan was welcomed at Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport by Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Turkiye’s ambassador to Astana, and other officials.

Erdogan is expected to attend the Turkiye-Kazakhstan High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council meeting as well as the informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States.

Turkish and Kazakh flags were displayed during the welcoming ceremony, while fighter jets escorted the Erdogan aircraft during its landing in Astana, the report said.
