Iran to submit own amendments to draft agreement

Iran will introduce its own amendments to the text of a potential agreement with the United States.

Axar.az informs, citing Tasnim, commenting on reports by US media that President Donald Trump has proposed new revisions to the current draft, an Iranian source said that the exchange of texts between the two sides is continuing and that Iran will naturally make its own changes to the document.

“The criterion for Iran is a text that we ourselves accept, and amendments proposed by Trump do not mean they will be accepted by Iran,” the source said.

The source added that nothing has been finalized so far and stressed that Iran is fully prepared for the possibility that no agreement is reached.

The comments come after The New York Times reported that Trump had proposed tougher terms for a potential agreement and sent revised proposals to Tehran.
