US–Iran agreement brings ‘sigh of relief’ to region

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has welcomed the US–Iran agreement, saying it represents a “very important step” toward ending regional tensions and has brought the Middle East “a sigh of relief.”

Axar.az reports, citing Anadolu, that Erdogan made the remarks after a Cabinet meeting.

“The US-Iran agreement is a very important step in the war," Erdogan said.

"Our region, which has been on the brink, has breathed a sigh of relief,” he added.

Erdogan said Turkiye was pleased with the outcome “on behalf of our region and all humanity,” and expressed hope that the agreement would pave the way for lasting peace and stability.

“We hope the agreement will fully open the way toward the establishment of lasting peace and stability in our region,” he said.
