Hezbollah attacks continue despite US-Iran deal

Fighting between Israel and Hezbollah persisted in southern Lebanon on Monday despite a new US-Iran agreement aimed at easing regional tensions.

Axar.az reports, citing Times of Israel, the Israeli military said Hezbollah launched rockets, anti-tank missiles, and mortar rounds at Israeli troops operating in southern Lebanon.

No Israeli casualties were reported, while Lebanese state media said one person was killed in an Israeli strike on a vehicle in Kfar Tebnit.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed that Israeli forces would remain in southern Lebanon, saying troops would stay in the buffer zone "for as long as necessary."

"Iran wanted us to withdraw from there. That did not happen," Netanyahu said. "I was very, very resolute on this matter. And I think our American friends respect that resoluteness and that firm stance."
