Lavrov: Russia will launch mass strikes on Ukraine

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Moscow will carry out regular large-scale strikes against Ukrainian military-related targets in response to the Ukrainian attack on the Moscow region.

Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, Lavrov said the strikes would focus on facilities that directly affect Ukraine’s military capabilities.

“After another provocation by the Kyiv terrorist regime, the president announced some time ago that we would now conduct mass group strikes on a regular basis — against targets on which the combat capability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine directly depends,” Lavrov said.

“The task was set by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief (Vladimir Putin); our armed forces are carrying it out and will continue to do so,” he added.

Lavrov said Russia’s response would follow the reported drone attack on Moscow, which Russian officials described as the largest such attack on the capital in two years.

Russian air defenses said they had intercepted around 190 drones.
