Ukraine SSU strikes Saky airfield in Crimea

The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) has carried out a successful strike on the Saky military airfield in occupied Crimea.

Axar.az informs, citing the Security Service of Ukraine, the operation targeted the airfield's infrastructure, including hangars housing fighter jets.

The SSU confirmed five drone strikes on hangars where military aircraft were being stored. However, it has not yet released any photos or videos showing the damage.

"Early reports indicate that two of the hangars contained Su-30 and Su-30SM fighter jets at the time of the strike. Following the attack, a fire was recorded in the hangar where a Su-30SM was located, indicating that the target was successfully hit," the Security Service said.

According to the agency, each of the aircraft is estimated to be worth between US$30 million and US$50 million, depending on its configuration.

"The Security Service is consistently destroying the military potential of the Russian occupiers both on the front line and deep behind enemy lines. No hangars or shelters will help – the Security Service will reach the enemy anywhere," the agency said.
