Airstrike hits Iranian city of Shiraz

Iranian media outlets and social media users reported hearing the sound of an explosion in the city of Shiraz on Monday evening.

Axar.az reports, citing Fars News Agency, which is affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), reported in an initial assessment that an “airstrike” had targeted a location in northwestern Shiraz, though it provided no further details regarding the exact site or potential damage.

Meanwhile, the Telegram channel Vahid Online, citing its followers, reported that a powerful blast was heard at around 5:00 pm near the Shiraz Electronics Industries complex, with some witnesses reporting smoke rising from the area. Several eyewitnesses speculated that the explosion had occurred at the Shiraz Electronics Industries facility, commonly known as Sairan, though this could not be independently verified.

At the time of publication, US Central Command (CENTCOM) had not issued any statement regarding a potential strike on Shiraz.
