Zelensky holds first call with new UK PM Andy Burnham

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has held his first phone call with UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham.

Axar.az reports that the Ukrainian leader announced the conversation on his social media account.

"I was pleased to speak with Andy Burnham and congratulate him on taking office as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. I highly appreciate that support for Ukraine and our people will continue to grow. Ukraine and the UK have built the strongest partnership in the history of our bilateral relations, and we will continue working to expand it further," Zelensky said.

He added that the two leaders agreed to discuss future cooperation during an upcoming meeting, with a particular focus on joint efforts within the framework of the European anti-ballistic coalition.
