Trump says call with new UK PM Burnham was 'very productive'

U.S. President Donald Trump said he had a "very good conversation" with the United Kingdom's new Prime Minister, Andy Burnham, discussing bilateral ties, trade, security, and other issues.

Axar.az reports that in a post on Truth Social, Trump said the two leaders reviewed a wide range of topics, including the "outstanding relationship" between the United States and the United Kingdom, and agreed to meet in the near future to discuss issues of mutual interest.

Trump said their conversation also covered North Sea oil production, trade, the U.S.-UK military alliance, and demining operations in the Strait of Hormuz, among other issues.

"The call was interesting, and went very well," Trump wrote, adding that he wished Burnham "good luck and Godspeed" in his new role.
