Trump expects Iran talks update in 48 hours

US President Donald Trump said negotiations with Iran are “moving along very nicely” and said there would be more information in 48 hours.

Axar.az reports, citing ABC News, that Trump made the remarks while speaking to reporters on the tarmac before departing for Las Vegas, Nevada, on Tuesday night.

“We’re moving along very nicely. You’ll find out. We’ll know in 48 hours,” he said.

Asked about an Axios report that said the U.S. aims to announce an agreement on reopening the Strait of Hormuz Wednesday, Trump said this “could happen” Wednesday or Thursday.

“Could happen. Tomorrow or the next day. A lot of progress has been made,” he added.

It should be noted that earlier, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio also said that progress had been made in negotiations with Iran on the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
