Joel Lion appointed Israel’s envoy to Turkiye

Israel’s Foreign Ministry has appointed Joel Lion as the country’s new chargé d’affaires in Turkiye.

Axar.az reports, citing Turkish media, that Lion arrived in Ankara yesterday and presented his credentials to the Turkish Foreign Ministry.

It should be noted that Joel Lion served as Israel’s ambassador to Moldova until 2025 and continued to serve as Israel’s non-resident ambassador to Armenia until August 2026.
